On Line Dynamic Identification and Diagnosis in
Gas Installations

Abstract

This paper presents a new method for monitoring pressure reducers
in gas installations.  This procedure, based on the knowledge of
the system's dynamic behaviour, aims to develop a complete
diagnostic procedure, suitable for future developments in terms
of automated operation.  The procedure is supported by an advanced
identification method, based on special time-frequency estimators;
it has been recently proposed for the identification of civil
structures under unknown excitation and, through this investigation,
has been successfully extended to the field of gas installations.
