Call for Papers
1999 IEEE International Symposium on Dynamics and Control of Structures

1999 IEEE Systems Congress
August 5-7, 1999
Chateau Laurier, Ottawa, CANADA

It is our pleasure to invite you to the ISDCS'99 in conjunction with DYCONS99 to be held in Ottawa, Canada. Ottawa is Canada's leading center for high technology research and development, is a clean, green and safe city that offers the joie de vivre and local charm of a small town while providing all the excitement of a modern, cosmopolitan center and a national capital.

The symposium welcomes contributions in all areas related to fundamental, applied, analytical, computational, and experimental aspects of nonlinear dynamics, stochastic dynamics, and control of mechanical and structural systems. Specific topics of interest include:

  • Modelling and dynamics of engineering structures
  • Stability, resonance, bifurcations, and chaotic motions in mechanical and structural systems
  • Dynamics and vibration under deterministic and stochastic loadings
  • Dynamics of rotating systems, systems with clearances including gearings, and systems with dry friction, machine-tool chatter
  • Dynamics of space structures
  • Nonlinear modelling and control of structures
  • Active and passive control for suppression of instabilities and bifurcations, control of chaotic vibrations

Contributions on the applications of dynamics and control of vibration in all engineering disciplines, especially in aerospace and automotive industries, are welcome.

In addition to technical presentations, panel discussions by leading authorities are planned. Please submit a maximum of 8-pages article in World Scientific format to each of the following (email preferred):
