Brief Biography
I was born in Hong Kong in 1949 and received my S.B., S.M. and Ph.D.
degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology, Cambridge, in 1971, 1972, and 1975, respectively.
From 1975 to 1977, I was a visiting Assistant Professor of
Electrical Engineering at McGill University and a Research Associate
at the Centre de Recherches Mathematiques, Universite de Montreal,
Montreal, Canada. Since August 1977, I have been with the Department of
Electrical Engineering at the University of Toronto, where I am
now Professor.
